Don Ajamian – President

Don Ajamian started his construction career as a young helper with his father during summer breaks. After finishing school Don joined his father’s company, Ajamian Construction and worked alongside his dad for the next several years…learning the trade and the business of construction.

In 1990, Don obtained his contractor’s license and started his own company as the sole owner of Ajamian Construction & Development. It was over the course of the next 29 years that Don built and grew his company in the Northern California area.

While managing the construction company, Don was also active in the community. Having served 10 years on the Board of Directors for The Shasta Builders Exchange, Don was always willing to give back to the industry that has given him so much.

Currently, along with overseeing the management of several construction projects, Don is serving as the Chairman of the Construction Subcommittee for the Northern California Community Recovery Team (NorCal CRT). The NorCal CRT is charged with rebuilding homes that were lost in the recent Shasta County wildfires for those that were either uninsured or severely under-insured. The NorCal CRT has been meeting and planning since mid-2018 and will remain active in Shasta County until 2023 rebuilding homes for the most vulnerable in the community.

In addition to construction, Don enjoys time with his wife, his children and his grand-children…several of which are a part of the family construction business. Just as the construction heritage was passed from the Don’s father to Don, the tradition is also proudly being passed down to the next generation.

Dustin Phillips – Vice President/Project Manager

Dustin Phillips became interested in the construction industry in high school. Eventually he made the decision to major in Architecture and began his college career at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. While attending Cal Poly, he realized he was more interested in building process than design and changed his major to Construction Management. After graduating from college in 2005, he began his career with a Residential Builder in Redding as an Assistant Superintendent.

Throughout the years, he worked as an estimator for a Heating and Air Conditioning company as well as a Project manager/Estimator for a telecommunications company. He managed projects ranging from small tenant improvement projects to large scale Homeland Security Projects.

In 2011, he was presented with an option to work in North Dakota as a Cost Controller in the Oil Industry. He remained there for 5 years and continued to expand his knowledge base in all parts of the construction industry.

Dustin was given the opportunity to work for Don Ajamian Construction in 2016 as a Project Manager. In this role, Dustin was able to not only build homes, but he has overseen many commercial jobs. When the fire in Redding broke out, they immediately realized the need for residential builders was going to be at all-time high. Every part of the industry was going to be impacted by the high demand. Don was able to coordinate with a multitude of subs in order to ensure that the homes we were building would be built in a timely fashion. Dustin, along with the superintendents, have been able to ensure the home building process went as smoothly as possible.

Eran Phillips – Design Coordinator

Eran Phillips began her career as a Design Coordinator December 2019, however her design experience started early on. While in college she worked at a real estate office and fell in love with houses. While real estate was interesting, it was the building process that excited her more. As soon as she was out of college, she helped design (along with her husband) and then build their first home. It was then she realized she wanted to work in this industry but was unsure of how. After working many years for the government, she was finally able to become a stay-at-home parent. After nearly 8 years, a remodeled home and new home built she was able to go back to work in the industry she loves working with her husband, Dustin.

As the Design Coordinator she works one on one with the client designing every detail from the roof down. Each client goes to appointments to choose plumbing, lighting, cabinets, flooring, countertops and tile. It is incredibly exciting to see the finished product and watch a client move in, especially after they have lost so much due to the fires.

When Eran is not working, most of her time is still devoted to raising her two children and helping in church.

Rick Walker – Superintendent
